About 85% of KAA membership do not attend the competitions offered by Karate Alberta. They find value by participating in other aspects of the art of karate. Summit 2013, as an inaugural conference, will be held in conjunction with the Annual General Meeting in Red Deer, Alberta. The theme of the Summit is “The Values of Karate”.
Annual General Meeting Notice
On Sunday June 2nd Karate Alberta will be hosting the 2013 AGM at Red Deer Lodge from 10:00 am till 3:00 pm. This is an election year.
It is critical that quorum is achieved (15 voting members) so that the financial report can be approved which secures our funding from ASRPWF.
Due to the nature of our organization the board feels the need to hire an Executive Director to take on many of the administrative tasks required to run the organization. At the AGM we will table a discussion on this topic and voting to either pass it or reject it.
Karate Alberta will be hosting our first summit this same weekend. It will start on the Friday with a Keynote speaker and on Saturday there will be twin sessions from 9:00 am to
5:00 pm more information to follow.
