2013/14 Board of Directors
After the 2013 Annual General Meeting held in Red Deer on June 2nd a new board was elected. The results are as follows:

Karate Alberta would like to thank Colleen Pittman (2003 - 2013), Marc Ward (2009 - 2013), Todd Guillet (2009 - 2013), Rob Malmberg (2011 - 2013), and Glen Taylor (2011 - 2013) for all their hard work for the Karate Alberta Association.
Karate Alberta is purely a volunteer organization and being on the board and sub committees is essential to its smooth running. Without the help from all the countless volunteers our association would not exists. Thank you all very much.
Tournament Results Posted
On May 4th and 5th, Karate Alberta hosted 126 competitors competing in the first of three tournaments scheduled for the 2013-14 karate season. The tournament, held at Red Deer College, following the format that recreational athletes competed on Saturday, while athletes vying for a place on the Karate Alberta provincial team competed on Sunday morning.
A big thank-you goes to all the tournament organizers, officials and volunteers for donating your time to make the tournament run so smoothly. Your commitment and contributions are very much appreciated!
